Föreställningen "Sånt är liket" med Ensemble Cor

This evening is premier for the show "Sånt är liket" with Ensemble Cor at 18.30 !

In 2011 '' The stage is yours'' was a projects commissioned by the City of Växjö. 25 students with various disabilities, working one day a week as singers, actors, dancers and musicians on Studiefrämjandet in Växjö.

Anette Rosen is responsible for the operation is careful to point out that the artistic level is high. Great demands are placed on the performers, but each one works on its own merits. 2011 ensemble gave its first performance at the Palladium, Växjö, and got a standing ovation ! 

This year, it's a musical theater that takes place in 50th century New York. The mafia, brothel-madams, cops and killers. They present the show with singing, theater, dance and music ! 

It's a fabulous show and incredible show that we recommend you ! 

If you can't come this evening, additional performances are scheduled the November 5th and 6th at 18.30.

Stockholm trip !

During this year, I have some obligations relative to the EVS. 

I have to, inter alia, participated to two sessions EVS training : On-Arrival training and Mid-term training.

These training are very useful to learn more about the EVS legislation, meet other volunteers in the country, make our own project and review the project. The training held at Kärsögarden (near Stockholm), begun the october 16th and finished the 19th october. Before I enjoyed Stockholm during the weekend and I lived in the flat of a nice host couchsurfing. 

I saw a New Burlesque show in the context of The 2nd International Stockholm Burlesque Festival: The Saturday Extravaganza ! I have too visited a lot of places and museums and ate a lot of good food !  These three days passed very fast ! 

I'm felt really good in Stockholm, I like the good vibes and in the same time the rhythm quiet and relaxed. 

This city is beautiful, safe and welcoming. I hope return soon !

I was very surprised by the very early closing of museums. I had to leave at 17h of The National Museum because it closed !

I have too visited the Fotografiska Museum after that, it's one of the only museums open after 17h/18h at Stockholm ! But I have no pictures of this visit.

During the monday, the majority of the places are closed in Stockholm, so I walked in the street, visited Gamla Stan, the old town, and make some shopping in the main street : Drottninggatan.

A good coffee/ restaurant where I buy an excellent broccoli, blue-cheese pie and caramel, nuts pie.

I like so much this architecture, this building makes me thinks of the Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.

     The rotunda inside the Stockholms stadsbibliotek. This place is very inspiring and give the envy to take a book and read.

It's finish for my personal visit of Stockholm ! 

Now, a little presentation of the training. 

We were 10 volunteers whose 5 french ! The other volunteers come from Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Macedonia and Georgia. 

It was a great team and I'm really happy of having this meeting. We spent a very good time together ! I hope we meet again soon around a Fika ! 

Further, the food was very tasty which doesn't spoil the pleasure ! 

The training was very interesting and Lars our trainer very nice and educational. 

We lived at Kärsögarden in the residential house's King, it was funny and kitsch !

Växjö 2012-10-12

Jag skriver detta inlägg inte bara som styrelseledamot i Palladiums vänner utan också som ordförande i Växjö Scenpoesiförening. Palladium är en av scenpoesiföreningens nyaste arenor att arrangera läsningar på och vi trivs oerhört bra. Det är ett viktigt hus på många olika sätt, inte bara för bevarandet av det gamla utan även för utvecklandet av det nya. Växjö Scenpoesiförening erbjuder såväl poetry slam-tävlingar som vanliga poesiläsningar utan tävlingsaspekten och vi gör det absolut inte bara på Palladium men vi trivs inne i den fantastiska gamla biosalongen på Palladium, det är en oerhört häftig och speciell arena för att anordna just poesiläsningar. Personalen är väldigt snäll och hjälpsam när det kommer till sysslor som till exempel att koppla ljud och ställa in ljus. Stämningen är fantastisk i lokalen även om det kanske inte kommer så mycket folk alltid, så när det kommer riktigt mycket folk blir stämningen ännu mer oslagbar. Jag tror att mycket av atmosfären sitter i väggarna. Huset är otroligt viktigt för kulturen i Växjö och det hade i en drömvärld varit helt gratis att hyra stället för att arrangera nya, häftiga grejer där som det finns väldigt många duktiga ideellt arbetande eldsjälar som vill arrangera.

Det är mycket som är fantastiskt och oerhört spännande med Palladium. Det finns möjlighet att gå och se fantastiskt spännande film både för Filmfemman som Palladiums vänner själva arrangerar och även med Folkets Bio. Man kan gå och lyssna på musik, som till exempel jazz. Man kan ta en bit mat på Bröd & Sovel om man vill. Man kan gå en trappa upp och titta på konsten som hänger i galleriet. Det är ett otroligt häftigt hus som absolut borde få vara kvar med samma verksamhet så länge huset rent fysiskt står upp. Växjö Scenpoesiförening supportar Palladium och tycker absolut att alla andra också borde göra det, oavsett om man kommer från ett företag som behöver någonstans att ha sin konferens, eller om man tillhör kommunen och kan besluta om bidrag eller om man är musiker som letar efter ett nytt ställe att spela etc etc. Stället välkomnar er med öppna armar. Gå dit på nästa arrangemang. Bara gör det.

Opera: Gaetano Donizetti's Kärleksdrycken

Kärleksdrycken (L'elisir d'amore) av Gaetano Donizetti
Säsongen inleds med en ny uppsättning av Donizettis komiska pärla Kärleksdrycken, i regi av Bartlett Sher och dirigerad av Maurizio Benini. Anna Netrebko gör sin Met-rolldebut som den vackra markägaren Adina, mot Matthew Polenzani som Nemorino, den enkle bonden som blir kär i henne.
Mariusz Kwiecien spelar Adinas arrogante fästman sergeant Belcore, och Ambrogio Maestri gör rollen som den trolldryckssäljande Doktor Dulcamara.

Kärleksdrycken är mer som två operor i en. Den ena operan är stor underhållning, och i den andra operan sker något annat under ytan. Det handlar om när i Italiens historia operan skrevs – man kan i det underliggande temat ana ett rop på frigörelse, säger regissören Bartlett Sher.

This saturday we have a fabulous opera at Palladium: Kärleksdrycken. 
It's a production of Gaetano Donizetti, directed by Bartlett Sher and conducted by Maurizo Benini. 
The opera will be broadcast  live from the Met in New York. 
Anna Netrebko makes her first performance at the Mets in the role of the beautiful landowner Adriana with Matthew Polenzani in the role of Nemorino, the simple peasant who falls in love with her. 
In the other roles, we find Mariusz Kwiecien who plays Sergent Belcore the Adriana's arrogant fiance and Ambrogio Maestri makes the role of the potion-selling Doctor Dulcamara.

Kärleksdrycken consists of two distinct parts, the first it's a great entertainment and the second is something else beneath the surface.
Indeed, the opera reveals the history of Italy and you can guess the underlying theme of a cry for liberation, says the director Bartlett Sher.
